NAIL TRIMMING
When a dog’s nails become too long and make contact with the ground, it places unnatural pressure on the foot and leg structure. This repeated impact can cause force to travel back into the nail bed, potentially leading to discomfort, joint stress, and even long-term conditions such as arthritis. Due to the natural curvature of a dog’s nails, if left untrimmed, they can begin to curl under and press into the paw pads - causing pain while walking and increasing the risk of infection or injury. Over time, excessively long nails can even alter the alignment of the toe joints and forelegs. Pet parents, please remember: Regular nail maintenance is essential for your dog’s health and comfort. We recommend trimming your dog’s nails at least once a month to prevent these issues and keep them happy on their feet.

NAIL FILING
Nail filing, or grinding, involves the use of a rotating tool with a sanding head to gently file down your dog’s toenails. This process results in a smoother, rounded finish—reducing the risk of accidental scratches to you, your family, or your furniture. Unlike traditional clipping, grinding allows for greater precision and can get closer to the quick without causing injury or bleeding. It’s an ideal option for dogs with sensitive nails or for pet parents looking for a safer, more refined nail care solution.

CAT NAIL TRIMMING
Trimming your cat’s claws every two to three weeks is an essential part of their overall health and well-being. Overgrown nails can curl and grow into the paw pad, causing significant pain, difficulty walking, and potentially leading to infections. Regular nail maintenance also helps prevent accidental scratches to you and your family, while protecting your furniture from damage. Keeping your cat’s claws trimmed supports their comfort, mobility, and your home’s peace of mind.

PAW TRIM / SHAVE
Trimming the hair on your dog’s paws is an important part of regular grooming and overall paw health. Excess hair can trap debris such as grass seeds, thorns, dirt, and mud - leading to discomfort and mess in your home. Hair that bunches between the paw pads can be irritating for your dog, and when it folds under the pads, it can cause slipping or instability, increasing the risk of injury. If left uncleaned, these areas can also become a breeding ground for bacteria, potentially leading to infections and pain while walking. Regular paw hair trimming helps keep your dog clean, comfortable, and safe on their feet.

NOSE & PAW BALM
If your dog’s paw pads are cracked, dry, or peeling, moisturizing is essential for their comfort and healing. Specially formulated nose and paw balms are designed for dogs to help soothe, nourish, and soften these sensitive areas. Just like human lips can become dry and uncomfortable, your dog’s nose and paw pads are also prone to dryness and irritation - especially in extreme weather conditions. Regular use of balm can help prevent discomfort and protect your pup’s paws year-round.

PAWDICURE / PRETTY PAWDICURE
Our Pawdicure service focuses on the entire paw, from heel to toe. It includes a nail trim, nail filing, paw pad shave, and a tidy foot trim to keep your pup’s paws clean, comfortable, and well-groomed. Pretty Pawdicure Treat your dog to a luxurious Pretty Pawdicure — a soothing experience that goes beyond the basics. This service includes everything in the standard Pawdicure, plus a gentle nose and paw balm massage, thorough ear cleaning, and teeth brushing for a fresh and pampered finish.

EAR CLEANING / PLUCKING
Regular ear cleaning is essential for preventing the buildup of wax, dirt, and debris, which can lead to painful ear infections. Dogs that swim frequently are particularly prone to moisture-related issues and may require more frequent ear care to maintain their health and comfort. Ear plucking involves gently removing excess hair from inside the ear canal. This helps improve airflow and reduces the risk of moisture retention and bacterial growth - both common causes of ear infections. By keeping the ears clean and free of excess hair, you can help your dog stay comfortable and maintain optimal ear health.

TEETH BRUSHING
Regular brushing is key to preventing periodontal disease in dogs, a common condition caused by plaque and tartar buildup. When left untreated, plaque can lead to inflamed gums, bad breath, pain, and eventually tooth loss. Ideally, your dog’s teeth should be brushed twice daily, just like humans. With consistency, many dogs adjust well and even come to enjoy the routine. At a minimum, brushing three times per week is recommended to help reduce plaque and prevent tartar buildup. Incorporating dental care into your dog's grooming routine supports their overall health and can extend their quality of life.

FACE TRIM
Many dog breeds require regular facial hair trimming to maintain both safety and hygiene. Overgrown facial fur can obstruct vision and make it difficult for dogs to eat comfortably. It may also irritate the eyes and trap food, moisture, and bacteria around the mouth and muzzle. Routine trimming helps prevent these issues, keeping your dog’s face clean, comfortable, and free from irritation or infection.

SANITARY TRIM
Sanitary trims - often referred to as "potty cuts" help keep the hair around your dog’s hindquarters clean and free of tangles, mats, and trapped debris such as urine, feces, and dirt. This not only reduces unpleasant odours and bacteria but also prevents these contaminants from being spread throughout your home. Left unmanaged, this area can become a breeding ground for irritation and infection. Regular sanitary trims promote better hygiene, comfort, and overall health for your dog.

BRUSHING
Regular brushing removes dead hair and distributes your dog’s natural oils, promoting a clean, healthy, and shiny coat. It also stimulates the skin’s surface and helps eliminate dead or dry skin cells. Regardless of coat length, dogs should be brushed every few days to maintain their coat’s health. For dogs with longer hair, daily brushing is recommended to prevent tangles, mats, and keep their coat in optimal condition.

DEMATTING
The severity of matting determines whether it can be brushed out or requires removal. If the fur is tightly matted - or “pelted" to the skin, it cannot be effectively brushed or combed through. If you cannot pass a comb through to the skin, professional grooming will likely require shaving the affected area. Severe mats restrict airflow and blood circulation, trap moisture, and increase the risk of infections, causing discomfort for your pet. Small tangles can usually be brushed out, but extensive matting needs to be carefully addressed to ensure your pet’s health and comfort.

PREMIUM SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER
Anti-Itch Shampoo Aroma Shampoo Bamboo Shampoo Black on Black Shampoo Clarifying Shampoo Colour Shampoo Deep Cleanse Shampoo Density Shampoo Deshedding Shampoo Extra Dirty Dog Shampoo Hydrating Shampoo Lavender Shampoo Mint Shampoo Oatmeal Shampoo Odour Relief Shampoo Rose Petal Shampoo Skunk Shampoo White on White Shampoo Hydrating Smooth Conditioner Ultra Shine Moisture Conditioner Conditioner Benefits: Conditioner plays an essential role in protecting your dog’s coat from damage caused by brushing and combing. Dogs with longer coats are especially prone to mats and tangles, and using a conditioner helps to keep their fur healthier while making grooming easier. Dog conditioner is applied after shampooing to detangle fur, add shine, and restore moisture to both the skin and coat, resulting in a smoother, softer finish. It helps repair the coat, improves skin elasticity, and replenishes natural oils that shampoo may strip away during bathing. Conditioning is particularly important during colder months to maintain your pet’s skin comfort and hydration.

BATHING
Maintaining a regular bathing schedule helps keep your pet’s coat clean, free of dirt, odours, and fungus year-round. Bathing removes dead hair and nourishes the skin and coat, promoting overall health and comfort. A well-groomed dog feels cleaner, more comfortable, and experiences less itching.

CKC BREED-SPECIFIC HAIRCUT
Most purebred dogs have a recognized breed standard haircut, which is often showcased at local and national dog shows. These standardized cuts are designed to highlight each breed’s unique genetic build and muscle structure. The breed standard haircut is widely regarded as the ideal style to best showcase the individual characteristics of each breed. Note: Mixed-breed dogs do not have a specific breed standard haircut, allowing for more personalized grooming styles.

COAT CARVING / 3D SCULPTING
Coat carving is a creative grooming technique that uses blades or shears to cut intricate designs, patterns, or "tattoos" into your dog’s fur. By sculpting the coat with scissors or clippers, groomers can create bold, funky, and highly personalized styles—giving your dog a one-of-a-kind look that truly stands out. Perfect for pet parents who love artistic expression and want their pup’s personality to shine through their groom!

CARDING & HAND STRIPPING
Carding is the process of removing the dead undercoat before hand stripping. This encourages healthy new coat growth and allows the skin to breathe, promoting overall coat and skin health. Hand Stripping involves manually removing dead hairs from the topcoat rather than clipping. This grooming technique helps maintain a tidy, healthy coat by preserving the coat’s natural texture and encouraging proper renewal.

HAND SCISSORING
Hand scissoring is a grooming technique used for haircuts longer than one inch or when clippers are not used at all. This method is one of the most time-intensive and, therefore, typically more costly grooming services. A scissor cut provides a softer, more natural finish and results in a gentler grow-out phase, helping maintain a well-groomed appearance for longer.
